Pick a Power

Did anyone ever ask you if you could have ONE superhero power, what it would be?

Discussing this particular query with other half last week.

I was torn.

Ah - to fly - what an amazing power. See the world, and get there fast. Free as a bird.

Oh but - to be able to talk any foreign language, how cool, how mind opening, How social!?

But then....and this was a real temptation for me, the ability to travel through time. To see history unfold. To learn so much. To experience what we only read about.

Oh it's tough.

Boyfriend said the magic words....

He said we (meaning 'I') could re-decorate his (meaning 'our') flat to make it girl friendly enough for me to move in eventually (meaning 'soon')

Ah yes - a grand British tradition - the village summer fete!

Must include Coconut shy, cakes and cream teas, dog show, welly boot throwing, rubber duck race, tombola / raffle, cider / pimms and at least one little girl wearing fairy wings.

And preferably not rain.

ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!!!!

I'm off this weekend on a rather long, but very exciting road trip.

For the boyf's birthday I got tickets to see THE SCRIPT ( our fave band) but because I 'aint no normal girlfriend, I'm taking him to a concert 7 hours drive away.

But the venue is a CASTLE, so it's not silly, it's just cool.

Right?!!

Claudia, on this very date, July 3rd 2001, you admitted you had some very 'over-zealous' fans;

"I was visiting my parents in Germany, suddenly, my mother started laughing. We saw this skinny man, completely naked, riding around our garden on a bicycle. I had a good look...and no, he wasn't very impressive at all."

That made me laugh lots.

Michael. We say goodbye to a true musical legend. Rest in peace.
