Dear World Wide Web,
Sometimes I curse the day you were born.
When you stop working - and you like to out in the countryside a lot - I feel like the world as I know it, has ended.
I panic, that I might not be able to instantly check out the weather tomorrow, or what time the film starts at the cinema, or what Katy Perry just tweeted out 3.5 seconds ago.

There are times when I cower in fear at the thought of never again receiving a real, hand written letter - and will forever be reading text off a screen. Libraries will become dusty relics, and books just musty memories.
But then, I remember, that you allow me to speak to my cousins in California in the middle of the night so I can tell them I love them.
I can remind my girlfriends, who live too far way for a quick coffee, that they look beautiful in their profile photo on facebook.
I can create connections with people all over the world through blogging, photography, art, forums, fan sites and fashion portals.

I can buy, and sell, and learn, and laugh at what you have to show me.
So I remind myself, it's all about balance.
Love from Nicki
