Scraps of the past

I have, at last, moved into my own place. Woooooo.

I have moved 30 times in 28 years, and after much turmoil, have landed in my own home. That might sound a tad dramatic, I'm sure most twenty-somethings have roamed until they found a place to settle a while, and whilst there will always be a little bit of a gypsy wanderer inside me - I must admit that having your own little place in the world to call your own is a very wonderful thing.

Slowly unpacking boxes when I have the time outside of work, I stumbled across a box with this enormous scrapbook inside from 2009.

For me, 2008 is the year I wish had never happened, and when New Years came, I started making an enormous inspiration scrapbook to encourage a better year ahead.

This book is utterly bulging with pages of scribbles, magazine and newspaper cutouts (I'm a severe mag hoarder) of personal style, decor, yummy food, animals, nature, photography and art.

It was a pleasure to flick through the images that filled me with hope - and I feel blessed that I now live a life absolutely filled with images like this - for real!

Managing an Alice in Wonderland vintage boutique by the coast, owning an online shop, working as a freelance stylist and getting to be creative every, single day - goes to show that pictures in a scrapbook can become reality if you believe it, and work for it.

Okay, Disney moment over with.

Nowadays I use pinterest for digital scrap booking and hoarding - its less messy! Are you on Pinterest? Leave your link in the comments below and I will come and find ya!

xx
